Our Story

BAOBAB Clothing was founded by long-time friends Marcellus Alexander and Brandon Davenport. The two were frustrated and annoyed with high-priced clothes that didn't last after a few wears and washes. As their first mission, the duo decided to create an "undeniably better" polo shirt. Through innovation, technology, patience and grit, they designed a polo shirt that not only looked great, but was also comfortable, functional and durable.

Our first shirt, the BAOBAB Polo shirt, is the first sustainable, performance luxury polo shirt that is resistant to shrinking, fading, odors, wrinkles. Thanks to our patent pending "stay flat" no-curl collar the BAOBAB Polo has eliminated to problem of "bacon collar" . 

As professionals who had worked in corporate America, the pair imagined the BAOBAB shirt as a uniform for the driven, hard-working professional that could keep them looking great all day and versatile enough to go from a work meeting, to happy-hour, or a weekend brunch.
